At the end of 2018 our focus learning topic was about life-cycles.  Our tamariki explored many different life-cycles, however the favourite one soon become the cycle of the Butterfly, after our visit from Butterfly Musketeers. The wonderful Maria inspired our young learners to investigate this amazing transformation through books, drama, art and science.  Following her visit we had our own swan plants with baby caterpillars on them.  The children watched the life cycle in action as they grew, made their chrysalis and then bust to life again as a beautiful Monach Butterfly.
